Rototom Sunsplash 2007!

FESTIVAL TIME!

I’ve been to the Rototom Sunsplash final weekend. Italy’s (and maybe Europe’s) greatest reggae festival, highly recommended if you love reggae. The festival was great as always, but unfortunately i saw only three big concerts in the last weekend: Ziggy Marley, Tanya Stephens and Shaggy. Had a great time with my friends at the Rototom festival. The only two negative points this year were the highest food & drink prices ever and Ziggy Marley’s total lack of talent.

Shaggy did a great concert. He knows how to rock the crowd. 90 minutes of hits.

Too bad i missed Horace Andy, Anthony B, Sizzla and Israel Vibration.

Two years ago i saw Ken Boothe at the Rototom, which was one the best concert i’ve ever seen. Considering personality, voice, and most of all, the beautiful songs he did, Ken Boothe is a living legend to me. He is one of my idols. 40 years in the show business. The good news is the video of that concert is still online, i can never get enough of it, watching it again and again! Enjoy KEN BOOTHE LIVE AT ROTOTOM 2005! (Real player streaming video)

    Hey guys,

I have a problem and I hope that you can help me. I’m looking for the first track in the video, perhaps one of you knows it. It’s damn groovy and I really would like to have it…

Excuse me for this off-topic comment. Btw, do you also know how I could get in contact with Dr. Ok from the forealheadz-blog? Since it has gone private something is missing in my life.

Keep on doing your great work, much appreciated!

Hey Mike, i was not able to identify the track, maybe somebody else in this blog will help you out…….

About Dr.Ok, well…we got cut off like you as he did not invite us as well.

    Not really helpfull, sorry.

No problem Marty. The guys at babygrandpa.blogspot.com told me the name of the track. It’s the title track of Stanley Turrentine’s album “Salt Song” which was released in 1971 on the CTI lable.

    Have a nice evening…
