Who says good rap music in the 90′s was only from east coast and west coast? The south coast had some extra-dope hip hop music too.
The Geto Boys, the UGK posse and the early Outkast, to name a few, started that dirty south shit which became famous in the 2ks. For those of you who still never heard of the UnderGround Kings, time has come to discover this explosive rap duo from Texas.

This incredible mixtape sums up their career in 60 minutes of raw, slow, soulful hypnotic southern funk. See the details about this release here. An amazing mix of awesome instrumentals and on the rappin side, Pimp C and Bun B’s flow is terrific. Soul legend Ron Isley singin with the UGK in the last track tells all about the flava of this mixtape.
(After all, sampling good music is not an east coast exclusive: back in the days, even the south did have a couple of good tunes to sample from, if i recall correctly… ;-) )
Judge by yourself, but don’t expect a frenetic mixtape: country boys’ life is soooo slow…..

R.I.P Pimp C
cazzo non lo sapevo! R.I.P.
R.I.P. SWEET JONES PIMP C. I was fucked up to hear they found Pimp dead at the young age of 33. He only had like 2 years free to do U.G.K. more classic before he passed. Another rap tragedy, but it isn’t still 100 on how he passed? they didn’t mention drugs, as what happened to Screw the Godfather in 2000 as a result of codeine prmotheyzine OD. You will missed PIMP thanks wehave BUN to carry on your lgeacy and keep bring that Texas boy lean to the world. much love Uptown Washington Heights, Nueva Yol
