Teo’s Masterpieces @ BendingCorners

Science dropped by Martini & Jopparelli. May-10-2010

BendingCorners is a top notch site. They are specialized in Jazz, any type and any form of Jazz, as themselves state on their page:

BendingCorners explores the grooves of: acid jazz, afro-jazz, cool jazz, cosmic jazz, dub, downtempo, electric jazz, electro-jazz, fusion, future jazz, groove jazz, jazzatronic, jazz dance, jazz-funk, jazz-rock, kozmigroov, modal, phusion, progressive, modern, nu-jazz, soul-jazz, spiritual jazz, and world jazz.

This time I want to refer you to some “classics”. Classic selections are always good, no matter if you already know the tracks, it’s always a pleasure listen to Davis, Mingus, Monk, Brubek, Ellington, don’t you think so? Plus, there is a track in this podcast that reminds me to my childhood: Take Five. I know it’s probably one of the most famous jazz tracks in history, but when I was a kid, my father used to listen to “We’re All Together Again (For the First Time)“ very often and I was really impressed by this joint (16 minutes long version, with a terrific drum solo, killer tune). The good old days…after that I fucked up my, and my father brain, pumping Rap all around the house for years!

Anyway, enjoy this tribute mix to the great Teo Macero!
