De La Soul Megamix (1990)

Science dropped by Martini & Jopparelli. Oct-06-2010

Here’s another unusual -and hopefully interesting- release from my personal collection. Remember when rap artists used to put a “megamix” track on their releases? Here’s a 7 minutes medley of De La Soul songs, released on an Italian edition 12″. I don’t know if it’s considered rare, but I thought some of you might be interested anyway. The tune flows nice and we’re still talikn about one of the best groups ever, aren’t we? These hippies were on another level no doubt.

Me Myself & I, Say No Go and other classic 90′s De La verses, blended together with an eye to the dancefloor over a nice beat and some catchy vocal samples. Perfect for your cigarette break while you’re playin records in your local bar: you got 7’30″ minutes, can you handle it?

De La Soul – 3 Feet High Press Kit

Manufactured in 1990 in Naples under permission by Tommy Boy (mad props to the guys behind this release), bought by myself in some 2nd hand shop in Milan around 1998, this vinyl must have seen a long long journey. And here it is, straight to your speakers at 320Kbps.

Enjoy! De La Soul Megamix
