Roots Of Dubstep Still Strong

Science dropped by Martini & Jopparelli. Jul-17-2009

On 2009-07-15, Hatcha & Crazy D had the orginal Ghost Crew, J Da Flex and EL-B in the studio. Time passes, but the guys who invented Dubstep, are still puttin out plenty of sick beats, whether you like it or not. Massive tunes here.

At 26’20″, I noticed something familiar. A vocal sample. “Summin’ gotz to give in this biz…” . Remember it? It’s Royal Fam! Classic undergroud shit from back in the days, when Wu-Tang family was on fire. I still have that vinyl, maybe I will post the 12″ one day. That instrumental is like good Italian Wine: gets better with the years. Still very interesting track, here it is:

Royal Fam – Summin' Gotz to Give

Turns out the sampling track is El-B – In This Biz – Dub.
