Welcome back, here we are with another episode of RITMO . From about min 16 you’ll hear my latest selection. Classic #svuotazza vibes, i played a selection of some records i’m into lately, ranging from soul to disco to afrobeat, the usual flavors, you know the deal. I started with a Pressure Drop remix of the Timmy Thomas classic, then blended it with a weird disco tune by the italian master Simonetti, a tune that somehow found its way to the Mancuso playlists at the Loft, slowed down from 45 to 33rpm. How you like it? I think it sounds better at 33, definitely.
At that point i was quite satisfied, so i stopped the flow with an obscure hypnotic vocal only 45 from Dj Harvey used as a build-up to an incredible afrobeat percussion-driven tune courtesy of Mukatsuku edits. Add a couple of nu-oldish-soul bangers from Colemine Records, Jungle Fire and Charles Bradley, and a boogie oriented ending and you have my last selection for this season!
