Janko Nilovic & Dave Sucky declared war to the Auto-Tune
Not my usual 5 breaks post. Only one this time but is the one you will hear a lot in the next months. So…don’t complain!

The original song is great, but the use No ID made of it (and the whole song, for that matter) sucks major balls
I had to say it somewhere, sorry for the OT

I am not a big fan of his last works but I got to say that i quite like this song. Roc boys was good as well.

Jay Z is maybe the only one alive able to make underground and mainstream audience happy… whith the same song. That’s talent to me.

Ditto. I agree.

the original song is great (for some library music), the concept of the song is great (hopefully it w will stop this autotune craze), the beat sounds a little bit poor imo

Let’s put it like this: if you wanna make a statement like this you better come sharp.
This shit is sub-par on all levels, declaring the death of aitotune in 2009 is like declaring the death of bell-bottom pants in 1982.
i mean, hearing the abuse of that violin in the song almost makes me want to fiend T-Pain, and if that ain’t saying something…

You are takin it too seriously… that’s a only a song… the title is only a title is not a declaration of war… like Nas “Hip Hop is dead”… a good marketing choice… only a title.
Not a masterpiece, but a good song, sub par for 2009 mainstream rap? no way.

Bah to me it’s a bold statement nonetheless, and unless you have the requested quality to back it up you’d better let it go. Hip hop Is Dead (at least the song) had that, this doesn’t.
And one can even agree that DOA is better than most of contemporary mainstream -not a big feat, BTW- but it’s still sub par in respect to Jay-Z’s potential (and past material)

Reiser,
What violin in the song are you talking about? There are no violins in either the original or No I.D.’s version. The powerful abrasive sound is a soprano saxophone. If you are going to just bitch about a song, at least get your facts straight.
