After 3 decades since they were all togheter, the Funk Brothers reunited for a soul night show.
Let’s swerve to Detroit, home of MOTOWN records.
I’m about to take you straight to the core, cause The Funk Brothers were Motown’s in-house band from ’59 to ’72, when the label moved over to LA.
I never heard just one of their names before watching this documentary, but it has been easy recognizing the tracks …from “(Love is like a) heat wave” to “Ain’t no mountain high enough”, got definitely stuck.
I assume you already know who they are, if not (i inquire WHY?) check the official link , or wikipedia or discogs or whatever…gotta do that!
Actually this post could be called “Martini & Jopparelli drive to HitsVille USA”…
Enjoy the drum beat of the originators of the MOtown music
