25 Essential Reggae Tunes – Part 2: Some Old Grooves
Summer is coming, some of you asked for more reggae, so here it is!!
Last time i gave you some of the most played reggae tunes. But as i said, some gems were missing. This time i’m giving you straight Foundation classics from the past. Most of this music was produced between the 60’s and the 70’s. Beautiful songs that took reggae music to a higher level, giving birth to the classic riddims all musicians still use nowodays.
Modern productions are perfect from a technical point of view, so perfect they often sound cold and unexpressive. In each one of these old productions you can feel the artist’s soul, his heart vibrating to the beat, his passion for music, even his imperfections, but you’ll have to admit: what a sound!
Let these vibes surround you, and tell me, after listening these ones: who needs modern music? Who needs thrashy mainstream MTV music? This is all you need, if you’re looking for some truly inspired sounds. Once again, a gift from the past.

on another topic in august i’m going to see Prince: he’s going to do 21 concerts in london (35£ for a ticket) and then he will retire, so it will be the last chance to see him live!you should come as well!

that sounds great…i saw there’s rufus thomas as well…i might come as well…i have to see if i have some holidays….the cds you gave me are great…i havent listen to all of them yet…very nice stuff on there….i almost finished a mix cd with some hip hop/breaks stuff on it and i want to uploaded, so if you like it you can post it…which site is better to upolad big files?
